UPDATED: Chancellor to Hold Town Hall on Jan. 22

Topics of discussion will include COVID care and resources, the surge plan, staffing projections, vaccinations and equity and inclusion. In addition to Chancellor Patterson, the speakers will be Steppe Mette, M.D, senior vice chancellor of UAMS Health and UAMS Medical Center CEO; Christina Clark, MBA, vice chancellor for institutional support services and UAMS chief operating officer; and Brian Gittens, E.D., M.P.A., vice chancellor for diversity, equity and inclusion.

There also will be a question-and-answer session with a panel of UAMS physicians including Nirvana Manning, chair and associate professor in the UAMS College of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology; Michelle Krause, M.D., M.P.H., a professor in the Division of Nephrology in the UAMS College of Medicine’s Department of Internal Medicine; Keyur Vyas, M.D., associate professor, Internal Medicine Division of Infectious Disease; and Robert Hopkins, M.D., a professor and division director of General Internal Medicine and chair of the National Vaccine Advisory Committee of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.
