UAMS IT recommends all vulnerable devices be updated. On the iPhone and iPad, go to Settings and then to General > Software Update. For the Apple Watch, go into the Apple Watch app. On devices using the MacOS, such as MacBook’s and iMac’s, go to Software Update in System Preferences to find macOS Big Sur. Click Upgrade Now and follow the onscreen instructions.

Apple said the vulnerability, is already being “actively exploited” by hackers. The bug is found in the security engine that protects applications across all Apple devices. The hacker can take control of your device and exploit your personal information.

Android devices are not affected by this exploit, however they recently experienced severe vulnerabilities as well. Keep all of your smart phones, tablets, and devices patched to the latest updated versions in order to prevent exploitations and protect your privacy.
