Physician Assistant Students Receive White Coats in Virtual Ceremony

The Department of Physician Assistant Studies held its first virtual white coat ceremony Sept. 17. Students in the Class of 2022 were assisted by friends, family and significant others as they donned their white coats for the first time.

The Department of Physician Assistant Studies in the College of Health Professions celebrated the Class of 2022 with a virtual white coat ceremony Sept. 17.

Physician Assistant Class of 2021 Accepts their White Coats

The Physician Assistant Studies program presented 40 students from the Class of 2021 with their white coats May 24 in a ceremony in the Fred W. Smith Auditorium in the Jackson T. Stephens Spine & Neurosciences Institute.

Sept. 4, 2018 | What does it take to become a physician assistant? For the Class of 2018, it required more than 58 exams (not including quizzes), more than 2,240 hours of patient care on clinical rotations, 48 hours of labs, at least 30 hours of service learning, 30 hours of interprofessional education at the 12th Street Health & Wellness Center, a capstone project and more —as they earned 128 credit hours in just 28 months.

UAMS Physician Assistant Program Achieves Accreditation
