By todd

The open house will be at the Harvey and Bernice Jones Eye Institute on the UAMS campus in Little Rock .

The two-year Ophthalmic Medical Technology (OMT) Program accepts students after two years of pre-professional college preparation, and combines lectures, laboratory lessons, and clinical teaching with supervised rotations at Jones Eye Institute and Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

OMT graduates are eligible to take certification tests to become certified ophthalmic medical technologists (COMTs). As COMTs, graduates can work in general ophthalmology or specialize and can give lectures and workshops in professional meetings.

To register for the open house or for more information about the UAMS Ophthalmic Medical Technology Program, call 501-686-5150 or visit the program’s web site at http://www.uams.edu/chrp/omt/default.asp.
