“Stomp Out Stroke” Seminar May 27 at UAMS

LITTLE ROCK – The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) will hold a free seminar on preventing strokes Tuesday, May 27.

Speakers will explain how to prevent, recognize, and deal with strokes when they happen. The seminar, including lunch, at 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., will be free but is limited to 50 participants. Call 501-526-5770 to register.

The seminar will be in classroom G-180/190 of the Donald W. Reynolds Center on Aging at UAMS. Parking will be available in the Outpatient Parking Deck at the corner of Capitol Avenue and Cedar Street on the UAMS campus. The Reynolds Center is a one-block walk to the south.

Kellie Coleman, UAMS fitness coordinator, and Gerri Spires of the American Heart Association will speak at the seminar. Boehringer-Ingelheim, the maker of the stroke prevention drug Aggrenox, is a co-sponsor.
