Urologists Join College of Medicine
LITTLE ROCK – Nabil K. Bissada, M.D., and Endre Z. Neulander, M.D., have joined the faculty of the Department of Urology in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
Dr. Bissada will be a professor, executive vice chairman and director of research. At Arkansas Children’s Hospital, where he will see patients, he will be the chief of pediatric urology. Bissada received his medical degree and completed a general surgery residency in Cairo, Egypt. He also did residency training in general surgery at the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark and in urology at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Bissada is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology; a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons; and a member of the American Urological Association and the Society of Urologic Oncology. He previously was chief of urologic oncology and a professor of urology at the Medical University of South Carolina and chief of urology at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Charleston.
| Neulander’s special clinical interests are prostate cancer and bladder cancer. He earned his medical degree in Romania, completed a residency in urology in Israel, and served clinical fellowships in urologic oncology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Florida/Shands Medical Center in Gainesville. He also served an honorary professorship in urology at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Syracuse. Neulander is a member of the European Urological Association and the New York Academy of Science. Before joining UAMS, he was an attending urologic surgeon and lecturer at Soroka Medical Center, Ben Gurion University, in Beer Sheva, Israel
