UAMS Back to School Jam Fest Aug. 30 at University Mall
| LITTLE ROCK – The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) will hold a health fair Saturday, Aug. 30, at University Mall with free health screenings and immunizations, entertainment, nutrition and anti-smoking information, and much more.
The Back to School Jam Fest will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The public, along with current and former campers in the UAMS Summer Science Discovery Program, will be welcome. School supplies, free long distance calls on telephones available at the event, clothing discounts, and other items will be available.
The Cancer Control Outreach Center, a program of the Arkansas Cancer Research Center at UAMS, will sponsor the health fair. The Museum of Discovery, Nextel, Leverett & Watts Law Firm, the National Black Leadership Initiative on Cancer, and Clear Mountain Natural Spring Water are co-sponsors of the event.
