Thomas Andreoli of UAMS Receives Honorary Degree in Hungary

Andreoli accepted the honorary degree in a ceremony in Budapest today.

Andreoli is professor and chairman of internal medicine and professor of physiology in the College of Medicine. He is past president of the International Society of Nephrology and the American Society of Nephrology and the longtime editor-in-chief of the journal Kidney International. The honorary degree is only the latest in a remarkable series of international honors that Andreoli has received, including honorary degrees from St. Vincent College, Universite Paris 7 Denis Diderot, Oporto University, Beijing Medical University, and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He also is an honorary member of the Portuguese Society of Nephrology and the Tinsley R. Harrison Society of Vanderbilt University.

 

In addition to many awards and honors for his research, Andreoli has received many accolades for teaching, particularly by students in the College of Medicine.
