UAMS Professor to Discuss Medical Ethics March 9 in Fort Smith
| FORT SMITH – J. Chris Hackler, Ph.D., a professor and director of medical humanities in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), will discuss “Medical Ethics” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, in Fort Smith.

Hackler received a doctorate in philosophy from the University of North Carolina and fellowships from the Woodrow Wilson Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities. He has served as the chairman of the Association of Faculty in the Medical Humanities. He also was a member of the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities Council and a recipient of the society’s Distinguished Service Award.
