The Arts of UAMS exhibit, “A Journey of Creativity,” is a collection of paintings. Some of the paintings are of a local or whimsical nature, while others feature interesting scenes from Harvey’s travels to Canada, Maine, Oregon and California. The exhibit is free and open to the public. For library hours, call (501) 686-5980.

Harvey received a Bachelor of Science in Education, with a major in art, from Southwest Missouri University in Springfield. She believes that her strongest work comes from plein air, or outdoor painting. A member of Mid-Southern Watercolorists, Harvey paints in her spare time and sells her work through exhibits, on the Internet (www.sandrasharvey.com), and at various galleries.
