State Legislative Committees to Hold Public Health Hearing June 7 in Batesville
| LITTLE ROCK – The state Senate and House Interim Committees on Public Health, Welfare and Labor will hold a community meeting on public health for citizens of Independence, Jackson, Cleburne and White counties on Monday, June 7, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB) at 2550 White Drive.
State Sen. Jack Critcher of Batesville will chair the meeting. Representatives of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Public Health, UAMS Regional Programs and the Arkansas Department of Health will provide information about public health issues that affect Arkansans and provide data about public health problems in northeast Arkansas.
The meeting will be held in Banquet Hall A in Independence Hall on the UACCB campus. Registration for the meeting is not necessary and everyone is welcome.
