The ninth annual ACRC Gala will be held at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 29, at the Peabody Little Rock, and will include a cocktail reception, dinner, dancing and entertainment by headliner Jarreau and the local rhythm and blues group Ramona and the Soul Rhythms. Organized by the ACRC Foundation’s Board of Directors, the black-tie event will raise funds for cancer research and patient care.
Jarreau has been singing since age 4 and is the only vocal performer to win Grammy awards in three categories – jazz, pop and rhythm and blues. The 64-year-old international performer has an appeal that spans cultures. His new CD, “Accentuate the Positive,” was released in the U.S. on Aug. 3.

Tickets are $250 each or $500 per couple. For information about the event or to make a reservation, contact Jeanette Shack at the ACRC Foundation at (501) 526-2277.
