UAMS’ Laurie Barber Honored by American Academy of Ophthalmology
| LITTLE ROCK – Laurie Barber, M.D., an ophthalmologist in the Harvey and Bernice Jones Eye Institute at the Recipients of the Secretariat Award are recognized for their contributions to educational programs and for their leadership in the organization. The award was presented at the academy’s 2006 Joint Meeting held in November at Barber, a professor of ophthalmology in the UAMS College of Medicine, is a comprehensive ophthalmologist, seeing patients at the JEI and in the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System. She joined the UAMS faculty in 1990.
