Carolyn Kirkpatrick Honored for Service to UAMS Aging Institute Board
| March 30, 2009 | Carolyn Kirkpatrick’s dedication to the Community Advisory Board of the UAMS Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging has earned her the 2009 Jo Ellen Ford Distinguished Service Award. Kirkpatrick, of Little Rock, received the award at the spring meeting of the Community Advisory Board. The award was established in 1999 in honor of Jo Ellen Ford, the board’s first president. Ford is a lifetime member of the board who was instrumental in the development of the Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging facility at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). Kirkpatrick has been a member of the board since 2005. “She is absolutely adored by all members and the staff,” said Dale Ronnel, board president. “Carolyn is the sort of behind-the-scenes member who does anything and everything that needs to be done. She is a compassionate, generous and loyal friend to everyone.” Previous recipients of the award: 1999 Jo Ellen Ford |
