Kentucky Derby Watch Party May 2 To Benefit Premature Babies at UAMS
| LITTLE ROCK – Central Arkansas’ premier Kentucky Derby watch party and silent auction will be held May 2 when the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) hosts its sixth annual Julep Cup Jaunt.
The public is invited to the event from 4-6:30 p.m. in the Fred W. Smith Conference Center on the 12th floor of the UAMS Jackson T. Stephens Spine & Neurosciences Institute. Tickets are $25 per person.

Guests will have the opportunity to watch the 135th Running of the Kentucky Derby at 5 p.m. on a 12 ft. by 24 ft. theater-style screen. Derby-themed fare will be catered by Capers restaurant, with music by the jazz trio The Real Thing. Derby hats are encouraged.
Silent auction items include a four-day vacation to Red River, N.M.; a Viking grill; exclusive golf packages; restaurant gift cards; and jewelry among many others.
The event is sponsored by the UAMS Consortium, a council of advocates for the future of UAMS. Proceeds will benefit the UAMS neonatal intensive care unit, which cares for some of the state’s tiniest babies.
