Hakan Paydak, M.D., Heart Rhythm Disorder Specialist, Joins UAMS
| LITTLE ROCK – Hakan Paydak, M.D., a specialist in heart rhythm disorders, has joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and will see patients in the Cardiac Arrhythmia/Device Clinic.
Paydak is an associate professor, director of the UAMS Cardiac Electrophysiology Program and Laboratory and director of the Electrophysiology Fellowship Program.
He brings extensive fellowship training in heart rhythm disorders and a passion for helping patients.
“We can provide a full array of heart rhythm management,” Paydak said. “We can cure arrhythmias, and we can prevent sudden death.”
Paydak most recently was at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he was assistant professor of medicine and staff physician in cardiovascular medicine and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Clement J. Zablocki Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, and Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, both in Milwaukee.
He has completed numerous fellowships, including:
• Cardiology, Case Western Reserve University Hospital in Cleveland
• Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, Case Western Reserve University Hospital in Cleveland
• Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Chicago
• Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, University of Chicago Hospitals, Illinois
Paydak is board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine; the American Board of Internal Medicine/Cardiovascular Diseases Subspecialty; and the American Board of Internal Medicine/Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Subspecialty.
Paydak received his medical degree from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in
Ankara, Turkey. The Consumer’s Research Council of America listed Paydak on its America’s Top Cardiologists list in 2006 and 2007.
