Public Invited to Defensive Driving Course at UAMS
| LITTLE ROCK – The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is hosting an AARP-sponsored defensive driving class Oct. 10 at its Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging.
The class costs $12 for AARP members and $14 for nonmembers. The classes are the second Saturday of each month from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the ground floor of the Reynolds Institute, Room G190.

Drivers 55 years old and older will qualify for a discount on their insurance premium after completing the course. Participants will learn defensive driving techniques, new traffic laws and rules of the road, how to deal with aggressive drivers, how to handle problem situations and how to safely use anti-lock brakes, air bags and safety belts.
