Kentucky Derby Watch Party May 1 to Benefit UAMS Preemies

The event will be 4-6:30 p.m. in the Fred W. Smith Conference Center on the 12th floor of the UAMS Jackson T. Stephens Spine & Neurosciences Institute. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased online at www.julepcupjaunt.eventbrite.com.

Guests will have the opportunity to watch the 136th Running of the Kentucky Derby at 5 p.m. on a 12 ft. by 24 ft. theater-style screen. Derby-themed fare will be catered by Capers restaurant, with music by the jazz trio The Real Thing. Derby hats are encouraged.

The event is hosted by the UAMS Consortium, a council of advocates for the future of UAMS that works to increase community awareness of the UAMS mission by forging relationships with the business community.

The NICU at UAMS combines advanced technology with trained health care professionals to provide specialized treatment for the tiniest of patients. It averages more than 1,000 admissions each year and has survival rates among the best in the nation.
