UAMS Announces October Computer Classes for Seniors

| LITTLE ROCK – Introduction to computers, Quicken and exploring Vista/Windows 7 will be taught in October for people ages 50 and older at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging.

All classes are two hours each, and with one exception below, classes begin the first week of October:
• Introduction to computers, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, noon, beginning Oct. 11
• Introduction to computers, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:30 p.m.
• Quicken, Tuesdays and Thursdays, noon
• Exploring Vista/Windows 7, Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:30 a.m.

The monthly cost is $40 per course for individuals and $65 for couples. An optional textbook is $15. The program is administered by SeniorNet, a nonprofit volunteer group. Classes are in Room 1155 at the Institute on Aging, 629 Jack Stephens Drive, Little Rock. For more information and to register for a class, call 501-603-1262.
