Tucker Heads Development at UAMS Psychiatric Institute
| LITTLE ROCK – Betty Allen Tucker has been named development director for the Psychiatric Research Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), where she will be responsible for raising funds and developing donor relationships for the state’s only academic mental-health facility.
The first lady of Arkansas from 1992-1996, Tucker most recently served as director of development at UAMS’ Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy. She was president of Cablevision Management Inc., a multi-national cable television corporation, from 1982 to 2004. A native of Brookhaven, Miss., Tucker graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) with a degree in education. She received her juris doctorate from the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law.
