Golf Bash to Raise Money for Kids Day Treatment Program Across Arkansas
| LITTLE ROCK – The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) KIDS FIRST program will hold its 2nd Annual KIDS FIRST Golf Bash on June 8, 2012. The four-man scramble will raise money to improve playgrounds at 11 KIDS FIRST clinics across the state.
The event, open to the public, will be held at the Greens at North Hills, 7400 Highway 107, in Sherwood on June 8, 2012. (The rain delay date is June 22, 2012.) The entry fee is $75 per person, which includes green fees, cart and lunch. Appropriate golf attire and soft spikes are required. The event begins at 11 a.m. with lunch, followed by the scramble at noon with awards announced at 4:30 p.m.

KIDS FIRST is Arkansas’ first pediatric daily treatment program for children ages birth to 5 with special health care needs. Based at the UAMS Department of Pediatrics in the College of Medicine, KIDS FIRST offers a wide array of services. From an initial 50 children at the Little Rock site to more than 700 in 11 clinics around the state, KIDS FIRST has grown and evolved into the program of excellence operated today. The clinics are in Fort Smith, Little Rock, Lowell, Magnolia, Morrilton, Mountain View, Newport, Pine Bluff, Pocahontas, Searcy and Warren.
UAMS is the state’s only comprehensive academic health center, with colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Health Related Professions and Public Health; a graduate school; a hospital; a statewide network of regional centers; and seven institutes: the Winthrop P.
