UAMS Sets SeniorNet January Computer Classes
LITTLE ROCK – Computer classes on Fundamentals for Beginners, Introduction to Computers, File Management and Excel will be taught in January for people ages 50 and older at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging.
| Classes begin Jan. 3. They are:
· Fundamentals for Beginners, Mondays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m. – noon
· Introduction to Computers, Mondays and Wednesdays, 1-3 p.m.
· File Management, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m.-noon
· Excel, Tuesday and Thursdays, 1-3 p.m.
The monthly cost is $45 per course for individuals and $75 for couples. An optional textbook is $15. The program is administered by SeniorNet, a nonprofit volunteer group. Classes are in Room 2156 at the Institute on Aging, 629 Jack Stephens Drive, Little Rock.
An iPad workshop will be from 2-3:30 p.m. Jan. 11 at the Institute on Aging. It will cover such topics as cost, iPad storage, Wi-Fi, data plans, downloading library books, printing and popular applications for the tablet device.
