April 23, 2015 | April 23, 2015 | Once again, UAMS has the most physicians on the state’s “Best Doctors” list with nearly 200 of the 387 Arkansas physicians named to the 2014 list on staff at UAMS.

UAMS has 194 staff members, or 50 percent, on Arkansas’ “Best Doctors” list, which is compiled by Best Doctors Inc. and published by the weekly newspaper Arkansas Times. The list is compiled by Best Doctors Inc. through a polling method that gathers the opinions of thousands of doctors across the country.

The list has earned a worldwide reputation for reliability, according to Best Doctors Inc. Among the stipulations, physicians cannot pay to be included in the database and are not paid to provide input.

Several UAMS doctors on the list have joint appointments at one of two UAMS affiliates, Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH) and the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS). Both ACH and CAVHS are major clinical, research and teaching affiliates of UAMS.
