Robert Martin, M.D., Joins UAMS Orthopaedics Department
| LITTLE ROCK — Foot and ankle surgeon Robert D. Martin, M.D., has joined the the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), effective May 1, and will see patients at the Outpatient Clinic.
He is also an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedics in the UAMS College of Medicine.
“The entire orthopaedics department is elated to welcome Dr. Martin,” said C. Lowry Barnes, M.D., chair of the UAMS Department of Orthopaedics. “We want to assemble the best team of orthopaedic physicians at UAMS, with our patients and students in mind, and Dr. Martin bolsters our group.”
Martin earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama in 2008. He completed his internship in 2009 and residency in 2013, both at UAMS. He was a fellow at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute, where he specialized in foot and ankle surgery.
“It’s a joy to return to UAMS,” said Martin. “It provides me the unique opportunity to invest in medical education and provide the best in patient care and service.”
Martin is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
