UAMS Sets SeniorNet June Computer Classes for People 50 and Up
| LITTLE ROCK — Computer classes — Fundamentals for Beginners and Introduction to Computers — and workshops — Tips and Tricks for the iPhone and iPad and Using Overdrive to Download Library Books on the iPad — will be taught in June for people ages 50 and older at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging.
Computer classes and workshops begin June 1. They are:
- Fundamentals for Beginners, Mondays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to noon.
- Tips and Tricks for the iPhone and iPad, June 1, 3 and 5, 1:30-3 p.m.
- Using Overdrive to Download Library Books on the iPad, June 18, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
- Introduction to Computers, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1-3 p.m.
The cost for classes is $45, and student manuals are $15. The two workshops are $20 each. The program is administered by SeniorNet, a nonprofit volunteer group. Classes are in Room 2156 at the UAMS Institute on Aging, 629 Jack Stephens Drive, Little Rock.
