Research Grant Presentation to Highlight Free Event at UAMS Cancer Institute Jan. 28
| LITTLE ROCK — The latest in a series of events offered by the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) will include the presentation of research grants and a scientific poster presentation.
“The Doctor is In” is set for 6-7:30 p.m. Jan. 28 on the 10th floor of the Cancer Institute. The event is free and open to the public. Register at www.giving.uams.edu/doctorisin or by calling (501) 526-2277.
The program will include the presentation of three Seeds of Science research grants to Cancer Institute scientists. The grants are funded by the institute’s annual RockStar Lounge event, which is sponsored by the Envoys. Scientists also will be on hand to discuss their cancer research projects.
The event is sponsored by Charles Schwab and hosted by the Envoys, an advocacy group sponsored by the Cancer Institute Foundation. Free parking is available in Parking Deck 3 at the corner of Capitol Avenue and Cedar Street.
