UAMS Sets SeniorNet February Computer Classes for People 50 and Up
| Jan. 19, 2017 | Two computer classes — Introduction to Computers and Microsoft Word 2016 — and two workshops — One-on-One Computer Support and Basic Computer Maintenance — will be taught in February for people ages 50 and older at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging.
Courses begin Feb. 2. The schedule is:
- Introduction to Computers, Tuesdays and Thursdays, Feb. 2-28, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
- Microsoft Word 2016, Tuesdays and Thursdays, Feb. 2-21, 10 a.m.-noon.
- One-on-One Computer Support, Feb. 6 or 8, 10-10:45 a.m. or 11-11:45 a.m.
- Basic Computer Maintenance, Feb. 13, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
Course fees for 16 hours of instruction are $45 and manuals are $15. The cost for workshops varies depending on the number and length of classes. The program is administered by SeniorNet, a nonprofit volunteer group. Classes are in Room 2156 at the UAMS Institute on Aging, 629 Jack Stephens Drive, Little Rock.
