Adult Vaccinations to Be Given Sept. 21 at the UAMS Texarkana Regional Center on Aging

Sept. 14, 2018 | The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Schmieding Caregiver Training Program and Walgreens are working together to provide adult vaccinations Sept. 21 at the UAMS Texarkana Regional Center on Aging.

Adult vaccinations for flu and pneumonia will be administered from 1-3 p.m. at the center at 4010 Jefferson Ave. A TDap (tetanus, diphtheria and whooping cough) booster vaccine and a vaccine for shingles will be offered as well. Educational information on the importance of vaccinations will be distributed to patients.

Anyone interested in receiving a vaccination at the event should bring their insurance card for billing. Free parking and refreshments will be available. For more information, call Suzanne Carroll at 870-773-2030 or email her at carrollsuzannem@uams.edu.
