Joshua is a respiratory therapist and was nominated by one of his co-workers who had some really amazing things to say about him.

“Joshua is an outstanding and compassionate young man. He works without complaint in the ICU’s and hospital providing prompt and stellar care to patients in need. Joshua is the teammate that everyone wants. He comes to the rescue without question and takes necessary action. Once his work is completed, he checks on his teammates and serves without judgment or hesitation.

For instance, one night a nurse accidentally called Joshua about my patient (on Vocera) and said, “We need your help in room 15!” Although I was right there listening, he sprang up and ran to the patient’s room — with me following behind. Later, I asked him why he rushed to the room when I was right there and on my way? In the calmest voice he replied, ‘I hope that’s what someone would do if I was that patient.’

This is the attitude that he displays with every patient and every health care team member. Joshua is caring, considerate, smart, polite, respectful, kind and an absolute MVP. He lives and works by the Golden Rule — do unto others as you would have them do unto you. UAMS is a great place to work because of people like Joshua Miller!”

Do you know someone who should be the next MVP? Nominations are being accepted. Any employee can nominate someone, and all employees are eligible to be nominated. The nomination form is available online or paper copies can be picked up in the Office of Communications & Marketing in Ward Tower next to Doc Java.
