Bhawna Jha, M.D., Joins UAMS as Interventional Pain Management Specialist

Before coming to UAMS, Jha served as a pain physician at Corda Pain Institute in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and as an associate medical director at AIM Specialty Health (Anthem subsidiary) where she worked in utilization management. At UAMS, she will also be involved in utilization management and review as a physician advisor, population health management, and will work with the team to streamline the implementation of value-based care across the health system.

 

She is a graduate of Pt JLNM Medical College, India and trained in psychiatry at University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. Jha completed her residency in neurology at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Pennsylvania and her fellowship in interventional pain in the Department of Anesthesia at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. She worked in pain management as an assistant professor at Penn State for about two years before joining private practice.

 

Jha is board certified in neurology and pain medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She also obtained board certification in psychiatry, Royal College of London before moving to the US. Jha serves on the editorial board of Pain Physician, one of the leading pain medicine journals in the U.S.
