Both the website and new ad campaign are the results of several months of work by Communications & Marketing employees, said Leslie Taylor, vice chancellor of Communications & Marketing.

The improved website, which launched Wednesday evening, boasts a cleaner design, a new Areas of Expertise section, enhanced functionality, a complete overhaul of content and a new Find a Doctor tool.

“Our website is one of the main front doors for consumers to understand everything they need to know about UAMS Health, said Keith Whitworth, director of marketing. “The redesigned website provides an excellent user experience to find a health care provider, information about locations, conditions, areas of expertise and much more.”

The new Find a Doctor tool provides updated content, photos and a better search tool. It also includes improved access to edit and update doctors’ profiles.

“We spent a lot of time on the Find a Doctor tool,” said Brent Passmore, web manager. “Our patients really turn to this tool when they’re searching for a health care provider, so we wanted to make sure it was user-friendly and easy to update.”

The web team will continue to update content and photos on the site, Passmore and Whitworth said.

The new television commercials, outdoor, print and digital ads, along with the redesigned website are part of the external launch of UAMS Health, Whitworth said. The ad campaign kicked off Dec. 28 in Central and Northwest Arkansas and was produced by the Creative Services team, led by Jean Romano, associate director of Creative Services.

UAMS announced in October that it was organizing all of its clinical enterprises in Little Rock and around the state under the UAMS Health umbrella.

“When we announced UAMS Health, Dr. Patterson said UAMS is more than a hospital, more than a university and more than cutting-edge research. He said we are a health system that serves all of Arkansas,” said Whitworth. “That really was the idea behind our commercials. We wanted to show Arkansans that UAMS provides top-notch care in every area of the state.”
