SEHS COVID Testing Moves to Monroe Building
| UAMS students and employees who need a COVID-19 test as determined by Student and Employee Health Services will be tested at the Monroe Building (former Red Cross Building) near the Ray Winder Parking Lot.
This information sheet provides more information about employee testing. Testing is by appointment only and will be scheduled by the SEHS staff.
Patients who need a COVID test before a scheduled procedure or surgery will also be tested by appointment at this site.
This change is designed to provide more convenient testing for employees and pre-procedure patients, reduce wait times and improve safety with less vehicular traffic on campus. It will also allow UAMS to efficiently prioritize tests for more timely results.
The new site can accommodate 120 to 180 tests per day, depending on hours. Hours for Monroe Building testing are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays. Hours at the drive-thru site for community testing will not change.
Free parking is available in front of the Monroe Building for those with testing appointments. Due to the risk of spreading infection, students and employees identified as needed testing by SEHS should not ride the UAMS shuttle.
