Here is what his nominator had to say:

“For three months, Adam was redeployed for three days a week to the UAMS/Little Rock School District Day Camp for UAMS employees’ children. His participation allowed the children at the camp to have regular physical education activities and classes. Part of his camp duties included taking children out onto the playground for recess. He was extremely good with the kids and cared about them as if they were his own.

While on the playground with the children, he noticed that part of their play area was covered in tall weeds. He realized that because it was during the summer months when children weren’t normally present, the school district maintenance crew was not regularly taking care of the school grounds. Adam knew he could help, so he brought a weed eater from home and took care of the weeds himself one morning during his class prep time.

That’s the kind of person Adam is. He sees a problem, and if he can possibly help, he pitches in. He always has a smile on his face and goes above and beyond for his team members and for the clients he helps at the UAMS Fitness Center. He is an outstanding colleague and would make a wonderful employee of the month.”
