Chelsea Sullivan Mathews, M.D., Joins UAMS as Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic Surgeon

She is an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in the UAMS College of Medicine.

Mathews earned her medical degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. She completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at UAMS and a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the University of Washington.

While at medical school and at UAMS for residency, she was involved in education, leadership and student interest groups, winning the Resident Teaching Award from the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UAMS. She conducted research and gave numerous scientific presentations while working together with UAMS faculty.
