Three Scholars Express Their Thanks
| Read how three College of Health Professions students feel about scholarships that they recently received.
Jason Harper – Dental Hygiene Class of 2021
I am thankful for being selected as a recipient of the Virginia Goral Endowed Scholarship for the 2020-21 academic year. To me, this scholarship helped make becoming a dental hygienist easier by allowing me to focus more on my studies. I am thankful for the support in making my dream of having a positive impact on my community become a reality.
Bria Mays – Physician Assistant Class of 2021
The scholarship that I was awarded from the Arkansas Hospital Auxiliary Association truly meant a lot to me as a PA Student, and I was truly honored to be a recipient. I still remember how ecstatic I was the day I received my award letter. With being a PA Student, I am dedicated to my studies for the entire 28-month duration, which means it is not recommended that I work while taking on the responsibility of a rigorous program. Therefore, every amount received, especially a scholarship, is very impactful. This scholarship allowed me to purchase supplementary study aids to help in solidifying information that I learned. Additional study aids are very resourceful because they help in retaining large amounts of information and allow me to apply what I have learned in different ways. Thank you to all the donors who give to make this scholarship possible for students like me. It is truly appreciated.
Molly Ely – Diagnostic Medical Sonography Class of 2021
Receiving the Terry J. Dubose Endowed Scholarship makes me feel honored and recognized for my hard work and dedication toward achieving my degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. To have been recommended and supported by my peers and instructors, justifies the confidence these people have in my abilities based on my performance. This scholarship has impacted me in a positive way by allowing me to achieve my goal of working in the medical field.
