Camille Hart is the epitome of going above and beyond her job description to improve health in Arkansas. She is truly passionate about providing health education to underserved communities in Arkansas and has taken the lead on several community education events this year. Last fall, Camille was instrumental in moving two conferences to virtual platforms in an effort to reach the community while staying safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. She was a part of every aspect of planning, even meeting with speakers to ensure they had proper lighting for their talks. Because of her dedication, over 300 Arkansans received vital information about improving health and coping with the COVID-19 pandemic.

COVID-19 has disproportionately impacted communities of color in additionally, despite having little experience with outreach to Hispanic communities, Camille took on the task of organizing a virtual panel discussion in Spanish about COVID-19. She not only planned the event but in true Camille fashion, she took the initiative to learn Spanish so that she could personally welcome the viewers. Camille is truly deserving of this recognition. Our outreach to the community is possible in large part due to her hard work.

Her nominator and close coworkers noticed her dedication, and now everyone else at UAMS can see and appreciate it, too. Team UAMS values her contribution.

UAMS will recognize Camille in several ways as this month’s MVP. Look for her photo on the Employee Appreciation Wall outside the Chancellor’s Suite in the Central Building. She will receive free parking for a month in any of the parking decks. A Faces of UAMS video will feature her, and she will receive some great UAMS swag. At one of the chancellor’s  cabinet meetings, they will present to Camille a certificate and monetary award and honor her and other awardees at the year-end MVP luncheon.
