College of Health Professions Faculty Promoted
| The UAMS College of Health Professions recently announced the promotions of five faculty members:
- Deziree Arnett, M.Ed., R.T., promoted to assistant professor in the Department of Imaging & Radiation Sciences, Division of Radiologic Imaging Sciences.
- Barbara Jones, M.S., promoted to assistant professor in the Department of Audiology & Speech Pathology, Division of Speech Language-Pathology.
- Megan Lane, M.H.A., R.T., promoted to assistant professor in the Department of Imaging & Radiation Sciences, Division of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Lisa Rhoden, M.Ed., R.T., promoted to associate professor in the Department of Imaging & Radiation Sciences, Division of Radiologic Imaging Sciences.
- Shana Williamson, M.S., promoted to assistant professor in the Department of Audiology & Speech Pathology, Division of Speech Language-Pathology.
Arnett is the clinical coordinator for Radiologic Imaging Sciences. Her areas of expertise are cardiac interventional radiography and vascular interventional radiography. She earned her master’s degree in education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) and her bachelor’s degree in radiography from the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) in Conway.
Jones is a clinical supervisor of Speech-Language Pathology. Her research interests are in supervision, teletherapy and social communication, and her teaching interests are in teletherapy, social communication and autism. Jones earned master’s degree from Texas Christian University.
Lane is the clinical education director of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Her areas of expertise are in vascular, abdominal and gynecologic sonography. Lane earned her master’s degree in healthcare administration from Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska, and her bachelor’s degree in diagnostic medical sonography from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.
Rhoden is director of the Division of Radiologic Imaging Sciences. Her area of expertise is mammography. Rhoden earned her master’s degree in Learning Systems Technology from UALR and her bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology from UAMS.
Williamson is the clinical education director of Speech-Language Pathology. Her research interests are in the evaluation and treatment of adults with acquired brain injury, social aspects of language in adults and impact on vocational skills and clinical instruction. Her teaching interests are in organization and administration of clinical programs, clinical application skills in adults with acquired brain injury, simulation lab training and clinical diagnostics with adults. Williamson earned master’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from UCA.
