Take 2 Initiative Accepting Submissions
| Take 2 is an innovative opportunity sponsored by the Center for Nursing Excellence for direct care nursing staff to submit ideas to eliminate two steps in a nursing process or practice to improve nursing workflow and save time without compromising safety. Submissions opened Aug. 1.
Each submission will be reviewed for feasibility, practicality, efficiency, safety, and financial availability. Nurses will receive an email from the Center for Nursing Excellence on the status of their submission after initial review.
Innovation is a core tenant of Nursing Excellence and is recognized in the ANCC 2019 Magnet Manual: “Nurses are perfectly placed to develop creative and innovative strategies that can make a huge different in the lives of patients.” Organizations that innovate create more efficient work processes and have better productivity and performance.
