November MVP — Johnette Jones

By News Staff

Here is what one of her nominators wrote:

Johnette’s contribution to UAMS is mostly quiet and unseen, but she is an integral component to the success of our Patient Care areas. Bottom line, she keeps nursing running. She makes sure they are compliant with policy, and she helps with all of their hiring and other HR functions. Johnette jumps in wherever she can help, all while being so kind and approachable.

I’ve gone to Johnette several times after beating my head against a wall on several issues and she calmly steps in and normally already has a solution. She is given new challenges every day and I have yet to see her be overwhelmed or bested. Working with her is always a breath of fresh air in difficult situations.

I hope to work with her for years to come and could only be so lucky as to have a tenure at UAMS of almost 33 years like she does.

UAMS will recognize Johnette in several ways as this month’s MVP. Look for her photo on the Employee Appreciation Wall outside the Chancellor’s Suite in the Central Building. She will receive free parking for a month in any of the parking decks. A Faces of UAMS video will feature her, and UAMS will give her some great UAMS swag.

At one of the chancellor’s cabinet meetings, he will present to Johnette a certificate and monetary award and honor her and other awardees at the year-end MVP luncheon.

Please congratulate Johnette for being our MVP of the Month!
