New Entrance for Outpatient Pharmacy Opens
| After more than two years of planning and construction, Phase One of an expansion of the UAMS Outpatient Pharmacy is now complete.
The project is now entering Phase Two, which is expected to take an additional two months. During Phase Two, the pharmacy pick-up entrance is temporarily relocated around the corner where the Breast Center was previously located. When Phase Two is complete, the entrance will be located at the corner next to the food court area.
The pharmacy expansion provides a more patient-friendly environment and allows the pharmacy to expand its “Meds to Beds” program for hospitalized patients. The expansion also brings all the outpatient pharmacy staff in a single location and provides a new nurse-only pick-up station, a tube station and an expanded prescription-filling area.
