September MVP — Janet Hopper

By Ben Boulden

UAMS/ Grants Accounting (GA) is extremely lucky to have Janet Hopper. She is dedicated, knowledgeable, and has a heart for the success of both UAMS and GA. She retired in December 2019, but she came back and has been a great asset in getting GA back on track and an even greater asset for the Workday conversion. Campus loves and appreciates her. She was an excellent director and is excellent in her new role. Janet is a team player and great mentor. She is invested in the success of the department and has proven that year after year. She goes above and beyond to assist anyone with issues in SAP and now Workday. The entire campus has been positively impacted by her time at UAMS. Janet was the primary person working on the Workday conversion in regard to Grants Accounting. She’s a kind, remarkable, knowledgeable, driven person and UAMS has been lucky to have her.

We will recognize Janet in several ways as this month’s MVP. Look for her photo on the Employee Appreciation Wall outside the Chancellor’s Suite in the Central Building. A Faces of UAMS video will feature her, and we’re giving her some great UAMS swag. At one of the chancellor’s cabinet meetings, Janet will receive a certificate and monetary award, and the university will honor her and other awardees at the year-end MVP luncheon.

Do you know someone who should be the next MVP? If you have someone you’d like to nominate, please visit go.uams.edu/mvp/ and fill out the form.

Please congratulate Janet for being our MVP of the Month!
