February MVP — Dollie Resh
| Meet Dollie Resh, the university’s MVP for February and an executive assistant in the UAMS College of Health Professions Department of Physical Therapy in Fayetteville. In the course of her work, she puts into practice the UAMS values of integrity, respect, diversity and health equity, teamwork, creativity, excellence and safety. Please read what one of her nominators wrote about how she does that:
Our campus shares our lovely building with the Fayetteville Arkansas Veterans Home. Dollie Resh has silently worked for the home, creating clothing protectors for the veterans to help to keep their clothes clean during meals and minimally invasive operations. She has done this for at least seven years, creating hundreds of fabric pieces in her off time. She’s never asked for gratitude or even recognition for her actions.
Dollie’s hard work has given dignity to our neighbors in their final years. Dollie does all this hard work completely voluntarily. She purchases old sheets and shirts to use as fabric for her clothing protectors, and she has organized a group of sewers from across the building and in her outside life.
It’s incredible that she’s able to do all this amazing work while still leading our PT department to success every day in her 9-5 job at UAMS. She’s an absolute MVP, who is deserving of praise and recognition!
UAMS will recognize Dollie in several ways as this month’s MVP. Look for her photo on the Employee Appreciation Wall outside the Chancellor’s Suite in the Central Building. She will receive free parking for a month in any of the parking decks. A Faces of UAMS video will feature her, and she will receive some great UAMS swag.
At the chancellor’s next cabinet meeting, the chancellor will present Dollie with a certificate and a monetary award. In the summer, we will honor her and other awardees at the annual MVP luncheon.

Please congratulate Dollie for being our MVP of the Month!
