UAMS Hosts Oct. 28 Epilepsy Symposium for Patients, Caregivers, Health Providers

The event is open to patients with a diagnosis of epilepsy and seizure disorders, patient caregivers and family members, health care providers and members of the community who are interested in learning about epilepsy, treatment options and living with epilepsy.

The event will be held in the Jackson T. Stephens Spine & Neurosciences Institute (12th floor auditorium) on the UAMS campus. It will also be livestreamed on Zoom.

Parking is available in Parking Deck 3 at 4000 W. Capitol Ave., with access to the Spine Institute through a sky bridge.

Topics to be discussed include challenges and management strategies for women with epilepsy; surgical options; seizure preparedness and safety; laser technologies in children; and functional MRI studies on neural correlates.
