Natasha Jones

By Ben Boulden

Natasha has a great big heart, and she cares about everyone and all the employees she supervises.

One of the ladies in our department was struggling financially to get her child’s clothes/school supplies/uniforms for back to school, and Natasha saw the need and immediately acted upon it. She coordinated with everyone in our department to see if anyone was interested in “chipping in,” which didn’t really matter to her if we did because she was going to make it happen, even if it came out of her pocket. That’s just the way Natasha is. She helped to make it happen, and the coworker’s child was given a bounty supply of supplies/uniforms/clothes. This warmed my heart so much to know that Natasha cared so much about our coworker.

This isn’t the first time she has coordinated a type of thing like this; she has managed to help other coworkers in this way. Natasha has such a caring attitude and heart. She does care. It shows by her everyday actions. It makes me so proud to call her my manager and to be able to work with her every day. This is just another reason I’m proud to say I work at UAMS.

UAMS will recognize Natasha in several ways as this month’s MVP. Look for her photo on the Employee Appreciation Wall outside the Chancellor’s Suite in the Central Building. A Faces of UAMS video will feature her, and the university will give her some great UAMS swag. At one of the chancellor’s cabinet meetings, Natasha also will receive a certificate and monetary award and honor her and other awardees at the year-end MVP luncheon.

Do you know someone who should be the next MVP? If you have someone you’d like to nominate, please visit go.uams.edu/mvp/ and fill out the form.

Please congratulate Natasha for being our MVP of the Month!
