By Nathan Tidwell

The BOSWC administers the Certified Oncology Social Worker program and confers the OSW-C credential. The OSW-C credential provides nationally recognized oncology-specific certification for the specialized knowledge and demonstrated practice abilities of oncology certified social workers.

Dean was elected to the BOSWC Board of Directors in 2020 and served as the board’s chair-elect from 2023-2024.

“The BOSWC recognizes the expertise of oncology social workers and their commitment to the field of oncology. It has been an honor to be a part of this important work,” Dean said. “I’m very excited to be moving into my new role as chair of the BOSWC, and I’m looking forward to the year ahead.”
