UAMS to Hold Plastic Surgery Clinic Open House on Feb. 13
| LITTLE ROCK — The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) welcomes the public to an open house Feb. 13 at its new off-campus plastic surgery clinic.
The UAMS Health Plastic Surgery Clinic’s Open House will run from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the sixth floor of the Freeway Medical Tower at 5800 W. 10th St.
Providers, UAMS employees, building tenants and members of the community are encouraged to drop in, enjoy some refreshments, tour the facility, meet the providers and staff, learn about introductory pricing on cosmetic treatments and enter to win various giveaways.
The UAMS Health Plastic Surgery Clinic moved into the Freeway Building on Dec. 18, 2024, consolidating plastic and reconstructive surgery services at UAMS with aesthetic and cosmetic services that were previously offered at a clinic located in west Little Rock.
Plastic surgeons David Sterling, M.D.; Keith G. Wolter, M.D., Ph.D.; and James C. Yuen, M.D., will all be on hand at the Open House, as will other members of the team.
The clinic provides a broad range of services, from reconstructive to cosmetic. The team is the largest group of plastic surgeons providing breast cancer reconstruction in the state. Cosmetic services provided include, but are not limited to, face and neck lift, rhinoplasty (nose surgery), eyelid surgery, breast augmentation, breast lift or reduction, body contouring (abdominoplasty, arm lift, thigh lift, body lift), fat grafting and liposuction. The clinic offers non-surgical treatments such as Botox, fillers, chemical peels and medical-grade skin care products.
UAMS is the state’s only health sciences university, with colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Health Professions and Public Health; a graduate school; a hospital; a main campus in Little Rock; a Northwest Arkansas regional campus in Fayetteville; a statewide network of regional campuses; and eight institutes: the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, Jackson T. Stephens Spine & Neurosciences Institute, Harvey & Bernice Jones Eye Institute, Psychiatric Research Institute, Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging, Translational Research Institute, Institute for Digital Health & Innovation and the Institute for Community Health Innovation. UAMS includes UAMS Health, a statewide health system that encompasses all of UAMS’ clinical enterprise. UAMS is the only adult Level 1 trauma center in the state. UAMS has 3,485 students, 915 medical residents and fellows, and seven dental residents. It is the state’s largest public employer with more than 11,000 employees, including 1,200 physicians who provide care to patients at UAMS, its regional campuses, Arkansas Children’s, the VA Medical Center and Baptist Health.
