Family Medicine Physician German Corrales, M.D., Joins UAMS Health Neighborhood Clinic in Little Rock
| LITTLE ROCK — Family medicine physician German Corrales, M.D., has joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and will see patients at the UAMS Health Neighborhood Clinic on Capital Mall in Little Rock.
He will also serve as an assistant professor in the UAMS College of Medicine Department of Family and Preventive Medicine.
“We are delighted that Dr. Corrales has joined UAMS as a full-time clinician,” said Shashank Kraleti, M.D., chair of the department. “As a resident, he proved himself to be a caring physician who went above and beyond for his patients.”
A native of Argentina, Corrales earned his medical degree from Universidad Nacional de Cordoba in Cordoba, Argentina, in 2017. He served a clinical observership and was a postdoctoral research fellow in the anesthesiology and perioperative medicine department at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. He recently completed a residency in family medicine at UAMS, where he was elected chief resident during his final year of residency.
During his residency, he earned the 2025 Outstanding Resident award from the UAMS Department of Family and Preventive Medicine and received the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors (AFMRD) Resident Scholarship award, given to the resident who best demonstrates excellence in scholarly activity. He also won the 2025 Best Resident award from the Arkansas Medical Society.
Corrales is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
