Mee | t Tyreka Bradley, medical laboratory scientist with the UAMS Northeast Regional Campus in Jonesboro and the university’s MVP for August. Tyreka has a passion for patients, and it shows in her work collecting and managing laboratory samples from patients. Her positive, can-do attitude improves patient interactions and brings an uplifting presence for her coworkers.
One of Tyreka’s nominators wrote, “She has a remarkable ability to ensure that patients feel comfortable and at ease, particularly when they require phlebotomy. Many patients have anxiety regarding getting lab work done, yet Tyreka’s calm demeanor, reassuring presence, and technical skill help transform what could be a stressful experience into one marked by compassion and confidence.”
UAMS will recognize Tyreka in several ways as this month’s MVP. Look for her photo on the Employee Appreciation Wall outside the Chancellor’s Suite in the Central Building. A Faces of UAMS video will feature her, and UAMS will honor her and other awardees at the year-end MVP luncheon.
