UAMS Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging to Host Geriatric Care Conference on Oct. 1-3
| The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) will host its 2026 Geriatrics Updates conference Oct. 1-3, providing an opportunity for health professionals, patients, caregivers, and community members to learn about the latest developments in research and clinical care for older adults.
This year’s conference, which focuses on the theme of “Living in Health and Harmony,” will be held in the Jo Ellen Ford Auditorium of the UAMS Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging, 629 Jack Stephens Drive in Little Rock. Registrants will also be able to attend virtually via Zoom.
Presentations will cover topics such as art therapy, cancer, depression, hearing loss, heart disease, pharmacology, pulmonary conditions, and osteoporosis. Other sessions will offer resources and support for caregivers and people who are living with dementia.
The conference is free for members of the public, though registration is required. Those who register can choose which days they would like to attend.

The conference is also open to healthcare professionals who are interested in receiving continuing education. Those who wish to attend can choose the “Healthcare and Vendor Registration” option on the Geriatrics Updates webpage, then complete their registration through the UAMS Office of Continuing Education.
