Romona L. Davis Joins UAMS Faculty at Jones Eye Institute

LITTLE ROCK – Romona LeDay Davis, M.D., recently joined the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) as an instructor in the Department of Ophthalmology.


 


Davis is also director of the ophthalmology clinical clerkship and course director of the surgical assisting program in the ophthalmic medical technology program in the Harvey and Bernice Jones Eye Institute at UAMS. A comprehensive ophthalmologist whose particular interests include cataracts and glaucoma, she sees patients at the Jones Eye Institute and the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital.


 


A Eunice, La., native, Davis received her Bachelor of Science degree at Dillard University in New Orleans. She received her medical degree from UAMS in 2000. She completed her residency at UAMS in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Jones Eye Institute.


 


Davis is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, Arkansas Medical Society and the Arkansas Ophthalmology Society.
